Country Music Marathon & ½ Marathon Begins New Decade in Nashville
John Rich, with Cowboy Troy, to Headline 11th Annual Post Race Concert with Special Guest, Heidi Newfield - Nashville, TN – March 11, 2010 – On Saturday, April 24, 2010, the Country Music Marathon & ½ Marathon will celebrate its 11th annual running in the Music City. Award winning singer, songwriter and producer, John Rich, with special guest Cowboy Troy, is set to headline the post-race concert at the Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. For Rich, his performance will bring him full circle as he played on the finish line stage in 2001 – the second year of the event. Heidi Newfield will open the show along with new artist Jerrod Niemann.

Half Marathon Rematch from San Antonio Highlights the Elite Field, Race Registration and Volunteer Opportunities Still Available - Dallas, TX – March 10, 2010 - An elite field of Texas athletes will lead approximately 13,000 registered runners at the inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, on Sunday, March 14. The new event, managed by the Competitor Group in partnership with the Dallas White Rock Marathon, will debut as part of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series and has drawn entrants from 47 states and 10 countries.

Wardian wins third USA 50 km title
INDIANAPOLIS - Michael Wardian (Arlington, Va.), won his third straight USA 50 km Championships on Sunday, running 2:55:50 at the Caumsett State Park 50K in Huntington N.Y. Yolanda Flamino (Hancock, N.H.) won the overall women's title in 3:34:26.

2010 Houston Marathon Committee's Run for a Reason Charity Program Raises $1.8 Million
HOUSTON (Mar. 9, 2010) - The largest field in the history of Chevron Houston Marathon weekend in January produced a record-setting total raised by the Houston Marathon Committee's Run for a Reason charity program. More than 12,000 donations raised $1.8 million to benefit 46 nonprofit organizations through Run for a Reason, which has generated more than $10.4 million in its 15-year history.
