Get Fit Minnesota; Stillwater Marathon announces physical fitness initiative
for all ages and abilities

Stillwater, MN, April 20, 2010 - The Stillwater Marathon Committee announced
today a roster of community-oriented races to be held Saturday, May 29, 2010
over Stillwater Marathon weekend. This new event, titled "Get Fit Minnesota"
is in partnership with District 834 elementary schools and open to all
students and the general public.

The shorter races feature "beginning runner" distances as part of an overall
Get Fit initiative in support of physical fitness and to address rising
obesity especially with the youth of today. A comprehensive training
curriculum will be available to any school interested and willing to
establish a coach who will regularly run and train with the students in
preparation for the races. Proper nutrition and training methods will also
be provided to participating schools and organizations.

Get Fit MN Races will be affordable and safe for all ages and abilities. The
400 Meter and One Mile Events will be held on the Stillwater Area High
School Campus. The 2.62 Mile Mini-Marathon course will showcase and follow
the off-road Oak Park Heights Trail System to and from SAHS. Get Fit
Minnesota Race Day features the Stillwater Marathon Health & Fitness Expo at
Stillwater Area High School during and following the Get Fit Events. Enjoy a
Pancake Breakfast after your run and visit the Health & Fitness Expo that is
offering participants and the public an extensive array of free information,
product samples, demonstrations and speakers by leaders in the Health &
