Minneapolis/St. Paul - July 2, 2009 - Team USA Minnesota's Josh Moen, Antonio Vega and Patrick Smyth will be among the competitors at the USA Men's 10k Championship which will be held in conjunction with the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th. Now in its 40th year, the Independence Day event is the largest 10k race in the United States with over 55,000 participants.

(Duluth, Minn.) Chris Raabe made Grandma’s Marathon history today becoming the first U.S. runner to win the race since 1995. Raabe, 30, a native of Sauk Rapids, Minn., now living in Washington, D.C., dominated the men’s field winning in a personal-best time of 2 hours, 15 minutes and 13 seconds. Mark Kurp, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., was the last American winner 14 years ago. Raabe earned $10,000 for the victory plus a $900 bonus for finishing in under 2:16:00. |

Minneapolis/St. Paul - April 28, 2009 - Team USA Minnesota's Jason Lehmkuhle will be among the competitors at the 33rd annual Lilac Bloomsday Run 12k in Spokane, Wash., on May 3. The race, one of America's largest, has more than 43,000 participants and a prize purse of $93,000. |
