After losing 113 pounds I decided to try running, because I could! After my first 5K, I was hooked. The 5K has progressed into 9 marathons and countless half marathons. I’ve done half marathons in 11 states, and marathons in 3 continents and the North Pole. My goal is to run a half marathon in each of the 50 states and a marathon on each continent. I joined the MDRA to train for my first marathon, the Twin Cities Marathon, in 2012. I have participated in 5 training programs since then. I could not have been more prepared for that amazing journey and owe it all to the coaches and life long friends I made in these programs. Being part of the MDRA has been life changing and the people I met as runners have now become truly, family.
