2020 is the 40th running of this race that commemorates 1968 Olympic marathoner Ron Daws. Daws, a ’60’s/’70’s Minnesota running icon, trained over this same course. The race was renamed as a memorial to Daws in 1993, the year after his untimely death. Registration opens January 18, 2020.
Due to evolving concerns surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Minnesota Distance Running Association (MDRA) has made changes to its schedule of races and programs as we do our part in slowing the spread of the COVID-19 Virus.

25K & 12K Race Start: 8:30 AM
Bib Pick up opens: 7:30 AM
Location: Hopkins Pavilion – 11000 Excelsior Blvd, Hopkins, MN 55343
Course: 25K (15.53 miles) of hilly, challenging fun! The race, begun in 1979, and now in its fourth decade, has proved to be a stiff challenge at a middle distance for those training for Boston or other spring marathons or who are otherwise looking for a testing workout.

Registration: Registration is online only. Online registration will be open until race start! Don’t wait in line race morning to sign up when you can on your phone or at home. iPad’s will be available for Race day registration.
Entry fee 25K:
$10 pre-registered MDRA members.
$20 pre-registered non-MDRA members.
$25 race day all.
