Sarah began running in 2011 as a way to get back into shape after graduating college. As a 3rd generation marathon runner, Sarah grew up attending Grandma’s Marathon each year to cheer on her father and grandfather. After reaping the benefits from running and realizing it was a lot of fun, Sarah joined the MDRA Spring Marathon class in 2012 in order to help her tackle her first marathon (of course it was Grandma’s). Since then, she has had the pleasure of acting as team leader for the group a handful of times. Since 2012, she has completed 19 marathons, spanning 11 states and one international marathon in Bordeaux, France along with a few other MDRA members. In Summer 2015, she also earned her RRCA coaching certification, and looks forward to lead and inspire other runners. Sarah works in indirect procurement at a prominent local retailer, and enjoys traveling as much as possible.
